STYLE RX: Effortless Sizing with Me-Ality

Last week, I had the opportunity to get my body scanned from the Me-Ality machine at Bloomingdale’s on 5th Avenue. Normally, when it comes to shopping for clothing, I know which silhouettes work particularly well for my body type. I aim towards a darker washed skinny or a dramatic flared pant- because it works well with a curvier silhouette and unbeknownst to the stylists that were there and before entering the machine, the results from the Me-Ality station were exactly the same! I wanted to see how accurate this  process was, and indeed my most flattering pair of bottoms are skinny- but they also provided me with various brands that I hadn’t tried before. The top shelf of my medicine cabinet is aligned with the same products. STYLE RX: HOW TO WEAR PRINTED PANTS

Finally, a trend that I can’t wait to start implementing into my wardrobe! At first glance, printed bottoms can seem a bit intimidating, especially if you’re unsure of how it’ll look on your body. But today’s “Style RX” will focus on how to wear it easily. Printed slacks are a trend that every woman should give a chance, because worn with the right silhouettes and color palette, it’s universally figure flattering.

Clover Canyon is one of my absolute favorite brands. While the price point is a bit higher, the prints, fabrication, and overall construction of the clothing makes it worth the investment.  I’ve had my eye on these for awhile now because it can be worn seasonally and for a variety of occasions.

For curvier silhouettes, printed palazzo pants and pajama-esque style pants can actually make the figure look bigger.  If you’re going to go for a print, choose darker hues and always pair it with a higher heeled shoe. Or, if you want to wear flats, choose a jacket that hits mid thigh or a tunic top that free-flows around that area of the leg.  It’ll make you look polished, professional, and super slender.
